Introducing you to Shauna...
Shauna is the type of friend who helps you appreciate the simple things in life more than you already did. For most things we are 2 peas in a pod. Between baking from scratch, vintage clothing, Florida and farmers markets(among many other things) we have built a friendship I hope will last a lifetime. Shauna and I share a common luck many people don't understand. For instance, we understand how lucky we truly are to be from the East Coast. To be able to drive down to the beach, soak up the sun. We both were lucky enough to marry our best friends and build honest, caring relationships with them. We enjoy spending quality time with our significant others. We treat our dogs like children, enjoy a good vintage trip and get a kick for good deals.
Shauna once told me she was making an effort to do more for others. While it's always a good effort to be conscious about those things I don't think she realized how much of a generous person she already is. She volunteers at her church with kids most Sundays, opens doors for others, says her Please and Thank Yous, offered her camera so I could better my photography, has taken tons of amazing portraits of my family and took it upon herself to help with decorations for a mutual friends babyshower!
On this beautiful Thursday morning we spent our time walking around the Stockyards. We found a bunch of perfect little spots that seemed to be created just for us. From the distance you could see downtown Fort Worth, but up close we were surrounded by flowers, cactus trees, railroads and "No Trespassing" zones. The quiet breeze and the chilly morning passed quickly between snap shots, walking, laughing and telling each other stories from our past. Finding background scenery wasn't very difficult for us.
So Thank You Shauna for being an amazing friend! For helping me understand photography, getting me obsessed with Ebay and taking shots of details. For taking gorgeous pics of both me and Julian. For lending a helping hand here and there, a sympathetic ear and taking time to be a true friend! Your smile is contagious and your laughter and honesty is invigorating... These pictures don't do your beauty justice but thanks for the practice I got. I'm even more in love with photography now that I understand what I was doing :)

Well thank you for all the kind words! I don't know that all of them are consistently true but you get friend points for saying it haha. :)
ReplyDeleteYou took some really good pictures that day! I hope you're feeling encouraged with blogging/photography. The next step is to (get a Canon! and) keep up with practice, practice, practice!!!
